Having a soft spot for the pleasantries of the language and seeing how there have been a lack of good (or any) French movies recently. I am willing to walk into anything that is in that tongue.Having only a slight idea of what the story is about would be sufficient for anyone to enjoy this light-Hearted French musical.
Although it is just slightly on the edge of cheesiness but all the actors and actresses do have the vocals to match its genre as compared to the last musical which was totally atrocious even to a forgiving person as I want to believe I am.
Most of the tunes are similiar but the lyrics, when sung, are pretty meaningful to the extent of moving. Or perhaps, they just sound so much better in French, at least to me.
This is a definitely a chick-flick and quite the perfect movie to plan around a date provided you are only looking for something skin deep.
